lyrics

I wake up every morning with a song inside my head
And i know the song is meant to be for you
But the rhyme scheme is embarrassingly boring
And the lyrics keep exploring
How I love you, which is true

So I've been avoiding the inevitable love song
That makes a valiant attempt at saying how I feel
This may be because it's been so long
Since I've liked someone so much I've wanted
To write them a love song

Cause people don't write songs for people
Unless something inside them says they have to
And people always miss the perfect opportunities
To say the things they should say
And to do what their hearts want to

So if I sing you this inevitable love song
That makes it simple & plain exactly how I feel
Whether you don't love me or you do
At least we'll both know that the song I sang was true

(so this is that song)

I make approximately $60,000 annually
And we would live incredibly predictably
But in the long term I am sure that you'll agree
It's for the best

I can guarantee a picket fence, a white house, and a yard
And I will never ask that you work very hard
But I will tell you in your anniversary card
How you're the best, the best

I have never known the way
To give a girl a thrill
But my strength lies in the everyday
The way I love you now is the way I always will

And then one day we may take a tour to see the Tour Eiffel
I studied French in school, but never spoke it well
But I would learn the language cold so I could tell you
You're the best
I just wanted to tell you
I think you're the best

I'm pretty sure that you're the best

Yeah, definitely, you are the best

Yep, you're pretty great
